High School College & Career Counseling Department

At Northwest Bilingual School, the High School College & Career Counseling Department is dedicated to guiding students on their academic journey and supporting them as they plan for life after graduation. Our mission is to ensure every student feels informed, confident, and prepared to make successful decisions about their future.

Our Role & Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one academic advising to help students understand graduation requirements, track their progress, and improve performance.
• Guide students through university and scholarship applications, including advising on majors, countries of study, entry requirements, and necessary documentation.
• Support students through standardized testing pathways such as IELTS, SAT, UCAT, and national admission requirements.
• Conduct social-emotional counseling sessions to promote student well-being, motivation, and a positive school experience.
• Maintain communication with parents to ensure a collaborative approach toward student success.

Programs, Initiatives & Services

• University fairs, local campus tours, and career exploration events connecting students with higher education institutions.
• Enrichment and credit recovery programs designed to help students strengthen academic skills and meet graduation standards.
• Workshops on major selection, personal statements, scholarship opportunities, and interview preparation.
• Guidance for volunteer work, job shadowing, and extracurricular experiences that support personal growth and university readiness.
• Student leadership development through the Senior Committee and community service initiatives.
